This exhibition prepared from the Museum of Koszalin presents paintings made by the artists whose ideas had the biggest impact on Polish visual arts. In addition, thanks to its representative selection, it brings closer the Bydgoszcz collection. A group of several dozen works, selected from among almost 3,000 paintings, reflects not only the actual styles, trends and creative approaches in Polish art, but also allows to present the artistic concept and development of the gallery. The presented works, becoming “historic” artifacts over time, blended into an image of modern Polish art as established artworks, frequently of crucial importance. In the same time, their identification as objects from the Bydgoszcz collection raises no doubts. (...).
