We invite you to follow the calendar of March vernissages at the Museum.We will open three new exhibitions for you."Sebastian Mikołajczak.Coins and medals"The exhibition will present the work of dr. Sebastian Mikołajczak in the field of coinsand medals design, with particular attention to creative double creativeity - differencesin the approach to medallion and monetary art.Visitors will be able to see the artist's achievements,his figure and techniques of designing coins and medals.87 coins and 77 medals arranged in several thematic groups will be presented.The objects shown are from the author's collection of Sebastian Mikołajczakand the collections of the National Bank of Poland."Jerzy Tchórzewski, Monotype, graphics, drawing"Jerzy Tchórzewski (1928-1999), one of the most important figures of Polish post-war art,guests in the halls of the Bydgoszcz Regional Museum.The exhibition is part of a series of monographic exhibitions presentingthe most outstanding artists whose works are collected in the collectionof Polish contemporary art.The opening of the exhibition will take place on March 22 at 18.00 at the Modern Art Gallery."Stanisław Brzęczkowski (1897-1955). GraphicsThe exhibition accompanies the promotion of the book by Stanisław Brzęczkowski (1897-1955).Monograph. Harvest catalog, which will take place on March 15 (Thursday),at 17.00 at the Modern Art Gallery.The program presents the publishing house and the artist's profiles. The special guest will be Bogusław Brzęczkowski - son of the artist.Stanisław Brzęczkowski is known primarily as a graphic artist,designer of applied and publishing graphics, as well as an experienced polygraph and teacher,especially for the artistic milieu of Bydgoszcz, the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region and Pomerania. The work and activity of the artist, known and appreciated by contemporaries,appeared in the Polish art of the interwar and post-war decades,and was also recorded in the history of modern and contemporary graphics.However, the artist's sudden death and limited access to his heritage did not favorthe functioning of his work in Polish graphics.
