A research and exhibition project THE CITY – THE PEOPLE – THE MUSEUM21.06.2017
he project consists of arranging exhibitions (as well as associated events and publications) in museums in the Kuyavian and Pomeranian Voivodship, which would tell a tale of the city through the people who had a significant impact (political, artistic, social, scientific, etc.) on its development. It is precisely the stories of the city’s inhabitants that will form the basis for the presentation of the city’s history.

Project: Wartime losses of the Municipal Museum in Bydgoszcz – Polish painting26.05.2017
One of the essential and on-going tasks that the Leon Wyczółkowski District Museum in Bydgoszcz (called the Municipal Museum until 1946) has been engaged in is collecting comprehensive, reliable and thoroughly-researched data on the losses suffered as a result of the Second World War. Currently, thanks to the funding from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the "Researching Polish Wartime Losses" programme, it is possible to search for Polish paintings, which before weren't listed in the Ministry’s database of looted art.

On April 26 this year, the city council of Bydgoszcz decided to grant a subsidy worth one million złoty to the Leon Wyczółkowski District Museum so that it could purchase the collections of the “Pod Łabędziem” Pharmacy Museum.
