One of the very interesting historical monuments in the exhibition " Late Medieval and Modern Bydgoszcz in the light of archaeological sources " dating from the sixteenth century is a wooden water pipe.
 
This exhibition is prepared by the Leon Wyczółkowski Regional Museum in Bydgoszcz in cooperation with the Regional Office for Protection of Historic Landmarks in Toruń, Branch in Bydgoszcz and Bydgoszcz archeologists associated in the Archeological Division of the Society of the Friends of the City of Bydgoszcz. Discover Bydgoszcz with the free new 'Czas na Bydgoszcz' ('Bydgoszcz Now') mobile app! It’s a multimedia guide of the city containing elements of a location-based game prepared by our Museum. Movement along the designated route, which covers the Old Town and Śródmieście (city centre), is facilitated by intuitive navigation. After each designated section of the route has been completed, the user can test their acquired knowledge by attempting a quiz.

Summer offer of Museum is ThursdAys to ResT. Each Thursday in July (7th,14th,21st,28th) and August (4th,11th,18th,25th) we invite every kid and their parents to ThursdAys to ResT starting at 11.00 a.m.: games and plays with Leon Wyczółkowski inspired by our latest publication “Pan Wyczółkowski i tajemnice jego domu”.

New exhibition "Attitudes and Processes" provides visitors with an opportunity to learn, observe and compare different artistic attitudes related to glass art, represented by artists involved in the Chair of Glass of Wrocław Academy. The exhibition will be open from the 30th of June until the 11th of September 2016.

We are pleased to announce that the Polish History Museum in Warsaw has granted Leon Wyczółkowski District Museum in Bydgoszcz a subsidy for the project “Time for Bydgoszcz” – a mobile app under the 2016 Patriotism of Tomorrow Programme.

As part of the project, a mobile app will be developed to present the history and present-day life of Bydgoszcz as a “little homeland”, as well as the city's cultural heritage. The app will be a multimedia guide featuring urban game elements, enabling users to learn history, revive local memories and discover source materials by taking individ
