One of the very interesting historical monuments in the exhibition " Late Medieval and Modern Bydgoszcz in the light of archaeological sources " dating from the sixteenth century is a wooden water pipe.
This exhibition is prepared by the Leon Wyczółkowski Regional Museum in Bydgoszcz in cooperation with the Regional Office for Protection of Historic Landmarks in Toruń, Branch in Bydgoszcz and Bydgoszcz archeologists associated in the Archeological Division of the Society of the Friends of the City of Bydgoszcz. Wacław Szpakowski is a pioneer of geometrical abstraction in art. He authored a collection of drawings “Rhythmical lines”, created between 1900-1951, partly in Bydgoszcz, where Szpakowski lived from 1931 through to 1934. Apart from drawings, photographs and sketches by Wacław Szpakowski, the exhibition will also present contemporary animations of his “Rhythmical Lines” aiming to demonstrate the complex and surprising trajectories of the lines running through his drawings, which is difficult to trace in the original pieces. Visitors are invited to come on June 24, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. ATTENTION: The Exploseum will be open from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Free admission.
